Shenzhen College of International Education is a highly selective UK curriculum college, which aims to take the brightest Chinese students and, through IGCSE and A level teaching, to prepare them for entry into top English language universities around the world. We have a very large staff of teachers from the UK, China and countries around the world including the USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand , providing an excellent student to teacher ratio.

At the beginning of the 2009 - 2010 Academic year there were 81 Academic Staff, of which 35 or 43% were expatriate and 46 local.

Since 2005, our first graduation year, all our students, without exception, gained places at top universities, mostly in the UK. In recent years, our student placement at universities is about equally divided between the UK and the USA. Our students have been very suuccessful in gaining places at top UK universities, with 13 students moving on to study at Cambridge and 6 at Oxford in the last 5 years. With the introduction of our specialised US counselling department, we hope to see more students progressing to top US colleges this year.

Den Nan, the first secretary of the Secretariat of CAST and daughter of the former Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping, accompanied by Shenzhen municipal leaders, inspected the school on 4^th April 2007. During her visit she went around the school, chatted with students and staff. Her visit is regarded as a stamp of approval by the authorities for the truly stunning achievements of SCIE.
